Get to know your provider Danielle

We sat down to talk with Danielle Stevenson, PA-C about her work as an aesthetic and regenerative medicine provider in Naples, North Naples, Boca Grande, Marco Island, and Sarasota, her interest in women’s hormone health, and the patient outcomes that still give her goosebumps. From the subtle shifts that signal something deeper is off to the long-term impact of hormone optimization, Danielle shares what it really takes to help patients feel like themselves again.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you enjoy outside of work?
I grew up in Naples, but my roots are in the Midwest, which is one of the reasons I feel such a strong connection to this company. I was born outside of Chicago, moved to Naples when I was very young, and then went full circle by returning to the Chicago area for PA school. After graduating, I knew I wanted to come back home and start my career here.

I’ve worked in aesthetics since finishing PA school, and I truly cannot imagine doing anything else. Outside of work, family is a big priority for me. That was a major reason I moved back to this area. I love spending time with family and friends, cooking, and working out with my sister.

Where did you work before joining this team?
I worked at a smaller local med spa, which was a great way to get my foot in the door. Over time, I realized I was looking for more opportunities for growth and training. One of the Galderma reps I worked with actually introduced me to this role, and I’m incredibly grateful she did. It was exactly the next step I was hoping for.

Have you tried any of the regenerative or wellness services yourself?
I’ve tried NAD+ once, although scheduling across multiple offices made it hard to stay consistent. I’ve also done PRF for hair restoration and completed about three treatments. I focused on the frontal scalp area, and I genuinely see an improvement. That treatment has been a really positive experience for me.

What inspired your interest in hormone health and regenerative medicine?
I always knew I wanted to go into dermatology and aesthetics, but I also felt strongly about women’s health. Even though we are not treating pregnancy or traditional OB care, we are addressing a part of women’s health that is often overlooked, especially hormones and menopause.

Many women spend a significant portion of their lives in menopause or perimenopause, yet it is still under-discussed and under-treated. Combining women’s health with aesthetics felt like a natural fit for my goals and allowed me to care for patients in a more complete way.

What are the most common concerns patients come in for?
The number one concern is low energy or that feeling of “something is off.” Patients often say they do not feel like themselves anymore or cannot function the way they used to.

Sexual health is another major concern, including vaginal dryness, loss of libido, or arousal issues. For men, erectile dysfunction is very common, although they are often less forthcoming about it. Cognitive concerns like brain fog or changes in focus also come up frequently.

What advice would you give someone who knows something feels off but does not know where to start?
I always encourage people to come in for a consultation. Feeling off means something different for everyone. We talk through how you used to feel, what has changed, and what areas of your health may need support. From there, we can determine whether one treatment or a combination of therapies makes the most sense to support longevity and overall well-being.

You work in both aesthetics and regenerative medicine. How do those areas complement each other?
They often go hand in hand. A good example is medically assisted weight loss. When patients lose weight, volume loss in the face can happen, even if the weight loss is healthy. Injectables or biostimulatory treatments can help support the skin during that transition.

Regenerative aesthetics like PRF, whether used with microneedling or injections, support the body’s natural collagen production. Many patients benefit from a thoughtful blend of regenerative medicine and aesthetic treatments, especially when we plan ahead and take a long-term approach.

What improvements do men often notice after testosterone replacement?
Men frequently report improved energy, stamina, motivation, gym performance, and sexual function. Those changes can have a significant impact on overall quality of life.

Is there a patient outcome that has really stayed with you?
One that still gives me goosebumps involves a female patient who had been diagnosed with osteoporosis. She was on medication and being followed closely by her primary care provider. After being on hormone replacement therapy with us, her follow-up DEXA scan showed that she no longer met the criteria for osteoporosis, and her physician discontinued her medication. Her doctor strongly believed the improvement was related to her hormone optimization. Seeing outcomes like that is incredibly rewarding.

What is something you wish more people understood about regenerative treatments?
Many women do not realize how important testosterone is, even in their 30s and 40s. Symptoms of perimenopause often begin earlier than expected, and declining testosterone plays a big role, particularly in sexual health and overall vitality. Starting appropriate testosterone support earlier can make the transition into menopause much smoother.

What attracted you to join this team?
The training and support were major factors for me. From onboarding to ongoing education, including time spent training with experienced providers in Michigan, there is a strong commitment to growth. That support benefits individual providers and ultimately leads to better patient care.

How do you see hormone replacement and regenerative medicine evolving over the next decade?
I believe hormone therapy will become more widely accepted by both patients and providers. There is still hesitation rooted in outdated beliefs, particularly around safety. Over time, I think we will see far less resistance and much better collaboration across specialties.

Just for fun, what is your go-to coffee order?
It changes with the seasons. Right now, I love the Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, usually with 2 percent milk. Outside of fall, I almost always order an iced lavender latte.
