Get to know your provider Stephanie

We sat down to talk with Stephanie Schultz, NP-C, about her work in East Lansing, her passion for hormone and regenerative care, and the patient moment that changed how she thinks about what people often call “just aging.” From optimizing hormones to using regenerative tools like PRF and NAD+, Stephanie brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to care that blends data, experience, and real-life empathy.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I live in Lansing with my husband and our son, and I’m currently pregnant with our daughter Zoe. Our son Zander is about to become a big brother, which is a pretty special season for our family.

What do you enjoy outside of work, any hobbies or passions?
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my family. We enjoy camping, gardening, preserving food, and dreaming about building a little homestead someday. I’m passionate about health not just as a provider, but as a lifestyle.

Where did you previously work?
Before joining RegenCen and CSLC, I worked in family and internal medicine and served as a clinical instructor through Lansing Community College and Michigan State University. I also worked as a nurse during the COVID pandemic while pregnant, which really shaped how I think about resilience, health, and prevention.

Would you be open to sharing your own wellness journey? Have you tried HRT, NAD+, PRF, or medical weight loss?
Absolutely. I believe in walking what I teach. I’ve explored hormone optimization, NAD+ support, PRF, and medical weight strategies from both a professional and personal perspective. I think providers should understand treatments not only biochemically, but experientially too.

What inspired your passion for hormone health and regenerative medicine?
It grew out of traditional family medicine. I saw so many patients, especially women, being told their labs were “normal” while they felt exhausted, inflamed, anxious, foggy, or invisible. I wanted to understand the why beneath the symptoms, not just accept that as the end of the conversation.

What are the top symptoms or concerns you hear from patients?
The most common things I hear are, “I just don’t feel like myself,” along with fatigue, brain fog, weight gain despite doing everything right, low libido, sleep disruption, and mood changes.

What are 3-5 of the most common issues people come in for help with?
We see a lot of patients for low testosterone symptoms in both men and women, perimenopause and menopause transitions, metabolic dysfunction and weight resistance, postpartum hormonal shifts, and chronic inflammation or recovery concerns.

What advice would you give someone who feels “off” but doesn’t know where to begin?
Start with curiosity, not dismissal. Your body is communicating something. You don’t need to know the answer. You just need a provider who is willing to listen and investigate thoughtfully.

What are the top improvements men mention after testosterone replacement? Any standout patient stories?
Men most often report improved energy and stamina, clearer thinking, stronger recovery from workouts, improved mood stability, and restored confidence.

Can you briefly and anonymously share a favorite patient success story?
One of my favorite stories was a patient who came in convinced he was “just aging.” After optimizing his testosterone and making some lifestyle changes, he told me, “I didn’t realize how much I had slowly lost.” His wife later thanked us for “giving him back.” That really stayed with me.

Other than hormone health, what treatments have surprised you most with their results?
I’ve been consistently impressed by PRF for tissue quality and healing, photobiomodulation for recovery and inflammation, and regenerative approaches like NAD+ that stimulate the body instead of masking symptoms.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about regenerative treatments or a specific therapy?
Hormone therapy and regenerative care are not about vanity or shortcuts. They’re about restoring physiology. When properly monitored and individualized, they can be profoundly life-changing.

How do you see hormone replacement and regenerative medicine evolving over the next 10 years for women?
I see women’s hormone care becoming much more personalized, data-driven, and preventative, especially in the perimenopausal window. We’re finally shifting from “wait until it’s severe” to “optimize early and protect long-term brain, bone, and metabolic health.”

What’s your favorite part about working at RegenCen, or what attracted you to join the team?
What drew me to RegenCen is the integration. We’re not just adjusting labs. We’re addressing inflammation, recovery, aesthetics, metabolic health, and longevity in a cohesive model. And my favorite part is the collaboration. The culture values curiosity and growth, and that really matters.

What’s a common health myth you love busting? What's your coffee order?
A common myth I love busting is, “Your labs are normal, so nothing is wrong.” Normal ranges are statistical, not always optimal. I also hear, “You’re just tired because you have a busy full-time job and kids,” and that can be dismissive of what the body is really signaling.

And for fun, my coffee order is regular coffee with caramel macchiato creamer, or a latte with one pump vanilla and one pump caramel, extra hot, because I will absolutely forget it between patients.
